Sticking Out In The Crowd

Sticking Out In The Crowd - The Wright Group
The 2006 National Print Competition of the Professional Photographers of Canada took place in Halifax in May. There were over 800 entries from across Canada in this competition.

Kent Wong, a Craftsman of Photographic Arts professional photographer from Kamloops, BC had his architectural image entitled "Sticking Out In The Crowd" awarded with the following:
1) Merit status
2) Judge's Choice Ribbon (Terry Robertson, Master Photographer and photographic judge, of Ontario gave this) - there were only 14 ribbons to be handed out
3) Loan Collection status (along with 39 others, this image will now travel across Canada on exhibit to the public - the National Loan Collection is considered to represent the best of the best).

Kent's comments:

"This image was taken through a closed window while we were wandering through the upper floors of the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City two years ago. The title refers to the red squarish chimney in contrast to the green triangular spires. "
