Kent Wong receives Certificate of Appreciation

On March 12, 2013, along with other Kamloops business owners such as Darren Wilkinson of Ferguson Equipment and Brian Field of Newell's, Kent was recognized by the City of Kamloops for his many contributions to the City.  In a semi-formal atmosphere at Accolades at TRU, Mayor Peter Milobar cited the many volunteer hours donated by citizens who show civic pride in all that they do.

Kent says that for all the support his clientele has given to Kent Wong Photography, his ballroom dance instruction and his Saladmaster business, the least he could do was to give back to the community that has given him and his family the lifestyle they enjoy.

Kent is a long-time member of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Kamloops Daybreak and has volunteered his skills to the United Way, the Gur Singh Golf Tournament and the Brain Injury Association.  In October of 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his many contributions.
